Orlιans Raconteurs Toastmasters Club #808 is a not-for-profit, English-speaking club dedicated to improving our communication and public speaking skills in the east Ottawa area. Membership is $95 a year. There is a one-time charge of $20(USD) for new members.
Our club consists of and is open to adults of diverse backgrounds. Meetings are neutral of impartiality (ie. race, religion, or politics). Each member succeeds at their own pace and new members are welcome to join anytime. The club provides tools, manuals, mentoring, opportunity and feedback to help you succeed. We foster a cooperative, friendly supportive environment in practicing public communication skills. Members and participants conduct meetings, present speeches, and practice several aspects of public speaking.
We meet the first, third, and sometimes fifth Tuesday evening of every month from September through June. Meetings begin promptly at 6:30 p.m, ending at 8:30 p.m. We meet in the second floor boardroom of the Orleans Police Station building at 3343 St-Joseph Blvd. at the intersection of Tenth Line, in Orleans.
Try us out! Drop in to one of our regular meetings. If possible, please RSVP if you intend to visit.
